What are your thoughts on moving.....

I'm thinking of moving to Wordpress?
What are your thoughts?
My husband does website design and he was thinking of redesigning my blog but he only does it on Wordpress?
I'm so used to blogger and change is hard for me...
Who uses Wordpress?
Advice?

Embrace change and go for it! I love it. Beyond love it actually :)
It's super easy to use and incredibly customizable!
My husband designed mine as he's a web designer and all his sites are done through Wordpress.

It might take a very very little getting use to, but I swear, it's so easy to use!

I have heard nothing but great things about it. =)
I've used it a bit for class projects (my comp & rhetoric class was run solely through WP)and it was super easy to use.
This is a really great post that I found on Domestically Speaking's blog: http://www.domestically-speaking.com/2012/01/jumping-ship.html

She really broke it down and provided tons of info and tips on how to make the transition smoothly.
I've been considering it for a long while now too.

I started on wordpress.com and then transferred to self-hosted wordpress (.org). I hated the transition itself, but now that I'm self hosted, it's great. I love it. So easy to use and I'm not tech savy, but I can change little things here and there. I had to have someone do my design (that's out of my ability range) but now I'm okay.

I say go for it (but be aware that the time it takes to actually get your hosting set up can be a pain)!

One thing to consider is that you'll have to start over with your subscribers. There's no way to automatically move people over to your new feed and even Google Friend Connect doesn't work on non-Blogger sites anymore so you'll have to figure a new way to gain subscribers.
